Even today you can still feel the spirit of ancient times here in Aarau historic old town in Switzerland. The city is situated along the river Aare at the transition to the Jura mountains, not so far and easy reachable by train in about 27 - 38 min. Zurich, Basel and Bern. Albert Einstein also once lived in Aarau and went to school here.
The Halde is an exceptionally well preserved street with predominantly late Gothic town houses.
The castle mill in Aarau has been alive again since 2020 and delights its visitors.
And last but not least the 292 km long Aare river, the longest river running entirely within Switzerland, have currently getting a new bridge.
