A city in the eastern part of the region of Transylvania, canton of Harghita, Romania. Miercurea Ciuc or Csikszereda in Hungarian is the land of winter sports. The hockey team is famous abroad, and the Vakar Lajos indoor ice rink has become the symbol of the city. Therefore the two hokey player figures in front of the ice rink and hotel Fenyö.
We just stopped here for a short break on our trip through Transylvania, Hotel Fenyő is located in the center of Miercurea Ciuc near the Vákár Lajos ice rink and the city park offers nice spacious rooms when you want to stay overnight.
In summer you can also try goulash and other specialties in the nearby park. It was a perfect day with interesting sights.
