Walking around the monumental complex in Aarburg last week, is supposed to have been founded around 1123 as a gladburg fortress and expanded between 1659 and 1673.
With a wonderful view of the Aare river.
Today it is used as a youth home, 1893, the fortress was converted into a home for delinquent youths, using pedagogical and therapeutic methods, the young people here are helped to integrate into society in a self-responsible way with a professional qualification.
