Stäfa in the canton Zurich also known as the Gold Coast, with its fine vineyards and panoramic view over the lake to the snow-covered peaks of the Alps, is situated at 408 m above sea level directly on the beautiful shore of Lake Zurich and offers a lot of sports, fun and relaxation in summer more than in winter .
The city of Stäfa is also known as the birthplace of the Swiss national drink Rivella. Production began in 1952 in a former wine shop and Stäfa is one of the biggest wine-growing communities in the canton of Zurich.
Stäfa is well connected by public transport. The Zurich main station is reached about 30 minutes. In addition to the train and bus service, the city has two landing stages on Lake Zurich, from where the boats are going to Rapperswil.
