Yes, I believe that it will at the least kill fiat. There is a lot of room for the same power structures to infiltrate the new emerging systems and perpetuate the same injustices. That said, it will be a lot harder for that to happen because it is easy to set up new chains or fork old ones. Take Steem for example, injustice and centralization reared its ugly head and the people simply moved.
