Hey team! I have been off the blockchain (sort of) for a while. I hit a huge busy streak leading up to Christmas and I just didn't find time to write things. I did, however, find time to do my daily quest in Steemmonsters. So, I have been using the blockchain daily. Battling monsters seems a bit easier to do than think of something to write about and then follow through on it. Nonetheless, I am writing today and I have some good news!

In true new year fashion, I plan on setting a few goals publicly on the blockchain related to the blockchain. SO here goes!

  1. I want to write more frequently. I know there was a good run there where I was writing every day... and that felt good. Perhaps it is unrealistic to think that i could write 365 posts this year (where they were not pure trash)... but I would like to write regularly. You will hear from me every week at least if I stick to my guns.

  2. I will be a steem-dolphin (or better) by the end of 2019. It is not too far off. I have nearly 2800 SP in this account, and likely another 1000 spread across a few steemmonster accounts (where I was farming booster packs to level up my main account) that have been rendered useless by the new "rewards" cards. So, I need to amass another 1200 SP, and move all my SP to this account. Or, amass 2200 SP this year. If I act fast, I can get a pretty cheap deal and get there in January. Part of me is thinking that if the price stays low for a while that I could become a bloated dolphin. If I were to invest, for example, $500 a month into steem, and the token stayed valued at $0.25 all year... I could buy around 25,000 steem! Regardless, the goal is set at a fairly achievable level but I have my sites set much higher too.

I would like to see steem go back up to a higher valuation... just not quite yet ;)

  1. I would love to get into the champion league of steemmonsters and perhaps even become a monster maverick. In order for that to happen, I will have to have bought a whole bunch of cheap steem and then watched it go way up in value. Buying steemmonsters seems like a fairly good hedge, plus, they are way more fun than USDT or whatever.

  2. I would like to be more involved in projects on the blockchain. I have recently delegated some steem to dstors@dstors as I feel that it is an awesome project with a whole bunch of potential. Myself being an ebay geek and a crypto geek, I would love to be able to enjoy both of those things in the same place (and not have to ever deal with paypal again).

There are other projects that I can see brewing on steem and this excites me. We are moving away from the blogging, where we still can blog, and are moving towards a free for all. Gaming, shopping, buying selling, betting.... you name it. This will add a whole bunch a intrinsic value to steem. I am not to worried about the dollar valuation, it will catch up in due time... at which point, I hope to be holding a lot of steem.

I think that steemmonsters is awesome, but also shows us the potential for this blockchain. There can be 20 different games running on this chain. There can be a decentralized answer to itunes, amazon, ebay, etsy, warcraft, netflix. Let's get to work!

I am excited for 2019.
