Don't worry, it is not as bad as it sounds. I am still a freelance carpenter. I just have a few days of no work to fill and I am lucky enough to have a bunch of crews that are happy to take me on as a framer on days where I have no work. So, for the next 2 days I will be framing.
It just so happens that it is a blizzard and will be -15C tomorrow. Not fun. I am really working towards no framing in the winter... and, I am getting close, but I would rather have some money if there is work to be done.
It is funny, right when I said that I would frame, the weather turned ugly. The universe knows my vow and is sure to remind me that I don't want to be framing at this time of year. It is autumn really, but it sure feels like winter today.
After these 2 days of framing, I will be taking off to the hot springs for the rest of the week. I am really looking forward to that! A lot!!!
I have not had a vacation in a long time and I feel well over due. I will let you know how it goes.
