We went to a "Day of the Dead" celebration tonight at the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton. It is a lovely building that has permanent plant life sustained all year (even when it is snowy like today) and it is controlled climates. I can walk through a desert and look at the plant life. There is also a temperate and a tropical pyramid. The 4th one is a special event one. It is currently Day of the Dead themed. There is a lovely altar that I have photographed. Today, it was adults only! There was a mariachi band and a tequila bar in the pyramid. It was a lovely time.

On a personal level, I am feeling a whole lot more lively since I quit my job and took on the handyman hustle. I was framing today, as that was the work that I could find, but i don't feel as tired because I feel like I am more in line with what I want to be doing. I have freed up my schedule to do whatever I want. I want to do fulfilling work that pays me, and I have been finding that. It does open up things so that I can kick off my shoes and polka in a pyramid ;)
