It's worth realising the importance of us all paying our debts. Societies and communities won't function if most people don't honour their promises to pay for services they are provided and use. It's worth realising that it's our responsibility to ensure that all happens in a transparent and honourable way, for all parties involved.
So when somebody has a controversy that might involve me regarding a debt that needs to be paid, I'd simply want to first do my due diligence.
As I said, it's important for me to settle all debts I owe. To do that I would need to determine all the facts. So I would ask for any records of it that outline things like:
How else would I know if there's been no error in regards to the alleged debt? Wouldn't it be my responsibility to find out?
