Hello everyone! I will share to you my newest drawing hehehe. It is quite simple I hope you like it. I'll show to you how it will be done. :) my subject today is a koi fish. Koi is a colorful variety of a carp, some varieties of it are distinguished by some japanese.
At first, I used soft pencil on drawing the fade outline of my subject to have basic idea on layering the color.
I put red color on the part that have darker part of th body like as the picture shown below.
Then, I started putting the orange color using parallel stroke. I always use that stroke because for me it is quite easy to perform to achieve the right color tone. There different types of stroke but i prefer the parallel stroke. :)
For the fins, I used black and gold color.
For the tail, I used red, orange, black and gold color.
Then for the black marks as you see on the picture below I used black pencil.
Finally! I used soft pencil on shading the shadow to look like floating hehehehe.
Don't forget to sign your drawing. :)
