My friend Tribi (Treebee) has been keeping me company for almost two years. She is a lovebird. When I met her, she had been recognized as a male. I spent a year calling her with masculine pronouns. Until a year later she laid an egg! After that everything changed, and I had suspected that her strong temper did not match the characteristics of a male of her species. But then the relationship became even more special.
My father and I let her free at home, without cutting her feathers, so she flies (and poop) wherever she wants. It is our paper shredder. Now and then she lays eggs and we all know they're not fertilized, so she pretends to hatch and we pretend we believe 🤡 I separated some photos in which she became more photogenic to share with you!
A kiss for all Hive pets!
