Hello dear friends! Welcome back to my Blog. Today I want to show you a painting that has a lot of sentimental value for me, as it is my first oil painting.
Lo realice la edad de 14 años, me tomó al rededor de un mes hacerlo. Previamente había hecho el dibujo en blanco y negro a manera de ensayo utilizando un lápiz 6B y tiempo después lo pinte en un lienzo de tela. Como ven, los trazos del boceto no eran muy precisos, y en cuanto a la simetria, algo desigual, sin embargo en el lienzo logré corregir un poco eso trabajando con más cuidado.
I did it at the age of 14, it took me about a month to do it. I had previously made the drawing in black and white as a test using a 6B pencil and later I painted it on a canvas. As you can see, the lines of the sketch were not very precise, and as for the symmetry, somewhat uneven, however on the canvas I managed to correct that a little by working more carefully.
Antes de empezar con la pintura, quise practicar con diversos dibujos utilizando lápices de color y luego con el oleo.
Before starting with painting, I wanted to practice with various drawings using colored pencils and then with oil.
El oleo es una pintura aceitosa, y su tiempo de secado es lento, sus diluyentes son la trementina y la Linaza, estos tre con olor muy fuerte, especialmente la trementina.
Oil is an oily paint, and its drying time is slow, its diluents are turpentine and linseed, these three have a very strong smell, especially turpentine.
Esta ultima, se suele utilizar para retirar la pintura de los pinceles, si se une con la pintura toma una textura más dócil y seca más rápido, en cambio con la linaza, que es más aceitosa retarda más el secado y le da un toque de brillo al acabado de la pintura.
The latter is usually used to remove paint from brushes, if it joins with the paint it takes a more docile texture and dries faster, on the other hand, with linseed, which is more oily, it delays drying more and gives it a touch of gloss to paint finish.
Pude participar con el en una exposición colectiva en el Museo Mateo Manaure, estado Monagas, Venezuela, el Día Nacional del artista Plástico un 10 de Mayo.
I was able to participate with him in a group exhibition at the Mateo Manaure Museum, Monagas state, Venezuela, on the National Day of the Plastic Artist on May 10
Actualmente conservo mi cuadro en casa y la verdad no he pensado en venderlo, pues lo guardo con mucho cariño. Espero haya sido de su agrado este post, muchos abrazos cariñosos. :)
