The last few days have been quite worrying for my uncle's family. My cousin's tumor being diagnosed under his armpit was an unexpected shock. But, without delay, we took him to Jamalpur Ever Green Life Hospital.

As soon as we stepped inside the hospital, a kind of mixed feeling was at work—on the one hand, anxiety, on the other hand, hope for good treatment. The doctor's appointment was over, and then the real hustle and bustle began. The doctor gave a total of eight tests to diagnose the disease. After receiving the list of these eight tests, it felt like a long way to go.

The first of the tests was to understand the condition of the chest and the activity of the heart. In a room in the hospital, my brother is lying on a bed. Electrodes for ECG or perhaps other monitoring are attached to his chest and body. He is lying calmly, a nurse or health worker is taking care of him next to him. He might seem calm on the outside, but the inner anxiety was evident just by looking at his eyes and face. We were encouraging him, but the silence at that moment was very heavy.

Then came the turn of the X-ray or radiology room. He took off his shirt, tilted his body slightly, and stood in front of the X-ray machine. Standing in front of such a large machine was like a silent challenge. We waited anxiously outside the door waiting for each test to be completed. We prayed in our hearts that all the reports would come in order. Although the rest of the tests were not captured on camera, standing in line for them, waiting—all of this seemed to pass very slowly.

Finally, one phase of the tests was over. After looking at all the reports, the doctor prescribed medicine for a week as the first step of treatment. With the prescription, we went to the pharmacy on the ground floor of the hospital. There was a crowd of people in front of the glass-walled pharmacy. All of us, including my uncle's family members, were waiting behind. All the reports and the doctor's advice require the purchase of medicines, and that waiting period is also an essential part of the treatment.

The doctor's clear instructions are that these medicines will last for a week. If the tumor does not shrink within this time, we will have to meet again next week and in that case, an operation may be necessary. This thought brought a new cloud of worry to our minds—operation! We are now just waiting for these seven days, wishing in our hearts that the medicine will work.

Please all pray for my cousin so that he gets better with the medicine and doesn't have to undergo surgery.
