Going to a party is usually a happy thing but sometimes this happiness turns into a strange difficulty. Something similar happened to me one day. A friend had a party and it was very important for me to go. I thought I'd wear good clothes to make a good impression. But as soon as I opened my wardrobe and took out my favorite suit well that's where the real story begins.
I tried to wear those clothes with great excitement but as I started putting on the shirt I realized it's gotten a bit too tight. At first I thought it was just my imagination but when I tried to close the buttons they seemed like they were gearing up for a battle.I held my breath and tried to close the button one button got closed and the other was ready to pop open.
The state of the pants wasn't any better. As I tried to wear them it was like they were saying Brother I'm not like I used to be take care. I pulled them up with great effort and stood in front of the mirror. My reflection looked like the clothes were trying to fit into me rather than the other way around.
But the thing was going to the party was a must. I was thinking what to do there wasn't time to get new clothes and the old ones weren't willing to cooperate. Finally I mustered up the courage and decided to go to the party in these tight clothes anyway.
As soon as I arrived at the party I had to find a place to sit the reason being if I moved too much it felt like the clothes would start protesting.I was walking slowly like I was carrying something very precious. A friend joked Dude you look really serious today.I thought to myself if I laughed or bent too much the buttons might just burst out laughing.
When it was time to eat my trouble increased. There were so many dishes in front of me but I was thinking if I ate too much what would happen to my clothes.I was standing with a plate but I had a mix of fear and amusement in my mind.
Finally the party ended and I breathed a sigh of relief. Getting home I took off those tight clothes first thing. Standing in front of the mirror I made a promise to myself next time I'll do one of two things before the party either buy new clothes or go on a diet. That day I realized the hardest thing in life isn't going to a party it's going to a party in tight clothes that's the real test.
