Katydids (The Devil Grasshopper)
This grasshopper (Katydids)in my place (Aceh, Indonesia) called "Devil Ghasshoper".
Why called that?
So called because these locusts often appear or visit the houses at night. Besides, this grasshopper is not like a grasshopper usually, its wide and slender shape with its long hind legs and its short body of wingspan, this grasshopper looks strange. So that if these locusts come into the house at night, people assume as devil incarnate creatures who want to disturb the inhabitants of the house.
In our place, these locusts are rarely seen in the morning and afternoon. either because the population is a little or grasshopper is clever camouflage, I do not know.
A place full of grasses where various types of insects are there, but these locusts are not visible. it is certain that the grasshopper is very difficult to find during the day.
I did not know the name and type of grasshopper what it is and maybe believe it as a Devil Grasshopper.
The era progressed and developed with the cultivation of communication technology (internet), I just know the name of this grasshopper. These grasshopper are Katydids.
Katydids is insects in the family Tettigoniidae are commonly called bush crickets. The
