Ok, I know that some people are going to be like « You can’t compare Steemit to Facebook …» and my response is « You’re right, because Steemit is better !! ».
People spend the entire day on Facebook but don’t get rewarded whatsoever while the company is making millions of dollars from advertising revenue every day, while here on Steemit people are sharing what they love and they get rewarded for that.
The only big website on the internet doing the same thing is YouTube, now I don’t want to compare the two because YouTube is a platform for videos only, but what about Reedit ?
Well , Reedit does not reward the users too, plus believe me guys, Steemit looks now at it’s infancy way better than Reedit (after years of online presence), and way better than what Facebook looked like at the beginning.
Steemit is special because it’s based on sharing, sharing the stories and the revenue, plus it runs on the blockchain, in a future where the world is run on blockchains, Steemit is going to be the king and Facebook, what Facebook ?
In 2004 when Facebook started, the number of users on the site reached « 1m users », if we compare it to Steemit now, we’re close to 200000 users on the site, Steemit loses ? naaaahh !!
One important thing to consider is the fact that back in the days when Facebook started the internet was at it’s in infancy, technically this is not entirely true but when it comes to social media platforms, Facebook did not have a big competition, now in 2017 everyone is trying to develop a social network.
Steemit is trying to find it’s place in a very competitive industry and the numbers now are proving that Steemit is on the righ path !
We always wanted an awesome revenue sharing website other that YouTube right ?
Why a revenue sharing website is better ?
Revenue sharing encourages the users to creat content and helps in creating a strong community, take a look at the YouTube community, there’s no other community like YouTube’s community, YouTube is always going to be a giant because of « Revenue Sharing » and the same thing applies to Steemit, while if a competitor becomes somehow better than Facebook … Facebook will die-off because there’s no strong community that’s going to creat more content « No revenue sharing ».
Steemit is coming
While Steemit does not have the functionalities that Facebook has, if the money kicks in
( and it will ) Steemit is definitely going to hire more people, the site will be so much different, they will probably be new features and ideas.
When Facebook started, the site didn’t have the chat feature or even a timeline !!
Steemit is going to the stars, if you’re reading this in 2030 then I WAS RIGHT !!
