Greetings!!
The last couple of days I have been busy in the shop getting some glazing done. I am trying to get enough ready for a full kiln load. So, I had these soup bowls in bisque and thought I would get them glazed and ready to go.
Cute right? I love the shape and the handles! I decided to do them in 2 shades of blue.

If you have never done ceramics before, I should tell you that the colors you see in the raw, that is before they are fired are not what they will look like once fired. Sometimes, not even remotely close, LOL. Glazes today are much better than they were back in my earlier days though. Reds looked green before firing, greens often looked brown, etc.
Try as I might though, these two blues look the same to me in the raw. Holy cow what a difficult time seeing the differences. I will have to trust the manufacturer and hope they come out right once fired. I have never worked with these particular glazes before, so it might just be a surprise, LOL.
It will probably be a while before I actually fire them. I have several other pieces to finish getting glazed as well. But don't worry, the finished products will be a post for another day, LOL.
Until next time,,,,,,
