In any battle choosing good monsters does not at all mean that you should choose high powers or heavy striker monsters. Selecting those monsters whose health is higher and whose attack power is higher and who have other abilities are not the only reason for the victory.
Rather I believe that even if a monster does not have good powers and you select it under a team plan and strategy and position it correctly then you can win that battle.
Just like I did in today's battle and got a great victory.
It always happens that in low mana battles you have to face a struggle and the main reason for this is monster selection because the mana cost is low so players get confused about which monsters to select. Especially when hard rule sets come it creates even more confusion.
But if you understand the rule set properly and select your monsters according to it without looking at which monster has good powers but instead make your selection according to teamwork and a strategy plan then you can easily win that battle.
Today I am discussing this 25 mana battle and what strategy I used and which monsters I selected. This was a very good and interesting battle and the biggest reason was the low mana battle and the two hard rule sets which made the battle even more interesting.
First let us understand these two rule sets.
All units whether enemy units or allied units all get the Knock Out ability. What happens here is that if a target is stunned then that same target also receives double damage.
For example if your unit has the Stun ability and when it attacks an enemy unit and stuns it then instead of dealing single damage it deals double damage and by making a heavy strike it causes big damage.
What strategy is better in this rule set?
You should select those monsters that have the Stun ability so that after stunning an enemy unit they can deal double damage and eliminate them from the battle as quickly as possible.
But unfortunately I did not have any monster with the Stun ability that I could use to take advantage of this rule set. And this was confusing for me because if the enemy selected a monster with the Stun ability then it could become dangerous for me.
The name of the second rule set is Keep Your Distance. This means that you cannot summon units that have melee power.
According to this rule set it is a special restriction where you cannot summon any units with melee power. According to this rule set they become useless.
That is why we should keep different monster cards in our deck so that even after any strict restriction rule set we still have choices for monster selection. And I did exactly that.
I had good ranged and magic attackers in my deck. So in this rule set I made a proper plan and selected my good ranged and magic powers so that I could get a good grip in the battle.
Now let us talk about the monster selection in the battle and what strategy I used according to these rule sets.
Because according to this rule set heavy damage had to be dealt and at the same time you could not summon melee power. So according to this I selected my Archon with the plus one armor ability.
What happens with this is that at the start of the battle all my allied units that have armor get plus one armor which can be a very good defense against heavy damage.
After this the main strategy of this battle was that I selected two monsters that had no attack power.
As I explained at the start it is not necessary to win every battle that your monsters should have good attack powers and overall good powers.
Instead if you follow a strategy it can give you more benefit.
My plan was to select monsters with good armor and health for my front line and back line so that I could keep the enemy units engaged with these monsters for as long as possible.
And for my two mid line monsters I used a mixed combination of ranged and magic attackers.
My front line and back line monsters would continuously absorb damage while the monsters in the middle position would attack strongly and eliminate the enemy units one by one.
And that is exactly what happened. The battle went completely according to the plan.
I would call the front line monsters that absorbed heavy damage the most important characters of this battle because due to their continuous damage absorption my attackers were able to attack strongly and destroy the enemy units.
And in this way I got a victory in this battle.
What would be your strategy in this type of rule set and which monsters would you give more preference to? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
