This Battle Was Impossible to Predict! 18 Rounds of Suspense
It was such an amazing battle that continued for 18 rounds and there were strong attacks from both sides. Both teams had such lineups and such monster positioning that until the very end it was not clear who was winning and who was losing the battle.
It was a very suspenseful and attractive battle that created suspense until the end about what would happen and who would get the victory. Today’s historical Mana battle was very interesting with two special rule sets and understanding them was very important for me. This was the reason I got victory in this battle. I understood both rule sets properly and selected my strategy and monsters accordingly.
Remember that in any battle one of the biggest reasons for winning is understanding the rule set correctly. Applying the right strategy to it and following that strategy can bring you closer to victory.
And beyond that if your monster selection is good and your monsters are placed in the correct positions so they can keep attacking continuously while your team gets good defense then in a battle like this you can survive easily and get the victory.
Before we move toward the battle and I explain my monster selection and strategy it is important to understand what the two rule sets are and how I adapted my strategy according to them.
RULESET 1: EQUALIZER
This is a new rule set for me to see where at the beginning of the battle the base health of all units is considered whether they are allied units or enemy units. The monster with the highest base health will give that same health to all units. The initial health of all units will become equal to the initial health of the unit that has the highest base health.
Let me explain it with an example. After selecting the monsters when we look at the battlefield suppose the enemy unit has a base health of 7 and this is the highest health among both teams. Then all units will receive that same health.
According to this rule set it is necessary to adapt your strategy in a way that you should not focus too much on health.
This is a great opportunity for you to select your high strikers even if they have low health. And it is even better to select high strikers with armor because whatever health is going to be given all units will receive it equally as an Equalizer. So your maximum focus should be on your high strikers.
RULESET 2: STAMPEDE
This is a rule set where all units whether they belong to the allied team or the enemy team get the Trample ability. And what happens with Trample is that whenever a melee attack is performed and the unit being attacked is defeated the same attacker gets another opportunity to perform another melee attack which will hit the unit in the next position.
For example if I have a melee attacker and after making a successful attack it eliminates that unit then my unit gets another chance to perform another melee attack and it will hit the monster in the next position. And this can also trigger multiple times if the Trample unit destroys another unit.
According to this rule set you should adapt your strategy in a way that you select as many melee attackers as possible. This means that if you have good melee attackers and they perform the last attack after which an enemy unit is destroyed they will perform another melee attack. This is a plus point for you.
MY STRATEGY AND MONSTER SELECTION
Keeping both of these rule sets in mind what strategy did I adapt and what was my monster selection?
First of all I selected my Archon monster that gives +1 Health which means all my allied units would get an additional +1 Health at the beginning of the battle.
Now what was my smart move? Keeping the Equalizer rule set in mind for my first two monsters my first monster which was my tank monster I selected the monster with the least health.
It also had a melee attack and melee power and 1 melee attack power. Most importantly its mana cost was also very low. Because of this I had enough mana cost left for selecting my other monsters.
So I did not give health any priority. Instead I kept both my first and second monsters as melee attackers. This also suited my Rule Set Number Two Stampede very well and it created a very good combination.
Similarly for the second monster I selected one with the Reach ability. Because of this while staying in the second position it could continue attacking. In the third and fourth positions I selected a mixed ranged attacker and a magic attacker. Because of this continuous heavy attacks would make the enemy lineup weaker.
ON THE BATTLEFIELD
When I compared the enemy lineup with my lineup on the battlefield there were strong selections from both sides and it became confusing who would win this battle.
From Round One to Round Three continuous attacks were happening from both sides and we could see heavy strikes from both teams.
In Round Four two units were eliminated. My frontline monster and the enemy's monster in the second position were eliminated. Until this point the battle was going very smoothly.
In Round Six again my secondary tank was destroyed while the enemy's first monster was eliminated. But this became a concern for me because the enemy now had a 2-power melee attacker. If it eliminated my first monster then with the help of Stampede it would also attack my second monster which was a negative point for me.
But the good thing was that my continuous magic attacker had reduced the health of that melee attacker quite a lot. From Round Six to Round Nine they continued fighting each other. And in Round Ten unfortunately I had only one monster alive while the enemy had two monsters remaining.
In Round Twelve the battle reached the point where it became a one-versus-one battle.
Now from Round Twelve to Round Eighteen only one-sided attacks continued. It was my magic attacker who continuously attacked the enemy unit which had no attack power. In this way I got a very excellent victory in this battle.
And the reason for this excellent victory in this battle was that my monster selection was completely according to the rule sets and the rule sets worked in my favor.
What would your strategy be in this type of rule set and which monsters would you prefer? will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
