Sometimes your monster selection and positioning are so perfect that you get a satisfying experience and you really enjoy watching the battle where your monsters continuously hit the enemy units and eliminate them while you have a very strong team combination where your units keep getting healed keep getting armor and keep protecting each other. Battles with such excellent teamwork are very interesting.
In today’s 43 mana battle I also got to see a battle like this. It was completely one sided and because of my strong monster selection and positioning I got an excellent victory in this battle. And the biggest reason for this was that I properly understood the rulesets and selected and positioned my monsters according to them.
Most importantly I selected my monsters according to the mana costs available to me and completely filled the mana. I did not waste any mana.
This was a battle where the enemy lineup was also very strong and powerful. But because my positioning was extremely good all five of my five monsters remained alive in this battle while the enemy monsters kept getting eliminated in every round.
And because of the Blood Moon ability the stats of my monsters kept increasing. This means that after every round my monsters were becoming more and more dangerous and destructive.
Today’s 43 mana battle was very interesting but at the same time it was confusing because I was seeing a new ruleset that I had never seen before and I was thinking about what kind of strategy I should use according to this ruleset.
Before moving toward the battle it is important to know what other rulesets appeared and according to which I made my strategy and plan.
Ruleset 1: Outsider
This is a ruleset where you are allowed to summon only one Wild unit. If you have more than one Wild unit in your deck you will only be allowed to select one and all the remaining ones will be disabled.
So in this type of battle which is considered a medium mana battle you should select the card from your Wild cards that has good health and armor so that you can use it as a tank monster.
Ruleset 2: Blood Moon All in Caps
This is a new ruleset that I saw today. Or maybe it appeared before and I did not notice it but for me this was completely new.
In this ruleset all units whether they belong to the enemy team or the allied team receive the Bloodlust ability. And what happens because of this is that after every killing blow all stats increase by +1.
In other words if your monster kills a unit immediately after that kill all of its stats and powers receive a +1 increase.
Because of this after every kill your unit becomes stronger and stronger.
So according to this ruleset you should adopt a strategy where you must select a good striker so that you can easily kill enemy units and take advantage of the Bloodlust ability.
MY STRATEGY AND MONSTER SELECTION
Keeping these two rulesets in mind what strategy did I adopt and what was my monster selection? Let’s find out.
First of all I selected my Archon monster with the +1 Health ability. Because of this at the start of the battle all of my units would receive +1 Health.
As my first and main tank I selected a melee monster with a healing ability that would restore 1/3 of its health at the end of every round.
If the enemy unit did not have very strong attackers this monster would survive until the end and would keep increasing its health through continuous healing.
And exactly according to this plan the battle went. The enemy opponent did not have a very strong attacker which is why this monster survived until the end of the battle.
For the secondary monster I selected a melee attacker with Reach ability. It would continue attacking while staying in the secondary position.
After that in the middle-to-backline positions I placed a mixed combination of Magic and Ranged attackers.
I did this because my two frontline monsters had good health and attack power so they would continue absorbing attacks while my middle-to-backline monsters would continuously attack from the backline positions.
Because of this the enemy lineup would quickly become weaker and the enemy units would be eliminated one by one.
ON THE BATTLEFIELD
When I saw my monsters and the enemy monsters on the battlefield believe me it was quite confusing for me because the enemy also had very good units. But they had not selected any good Magic attacker that could continuously bypass the armor.
From Round 1 to Round 3 attacks continued continuously. And because both teams had selected monsters with high health and armor both teams received a good amount of protection and no unit was eliminated until Round 3.
As soon as Round 4 started the enemy’s strong tank monster that they had placed in the fifth position was eliminated.
In the same way the attacks continued while my frontline monster survived extremely well and because of continuous healing its health kept increasing.
In Round 5 the situation of the battle changed and the battle started going in my favor because the enemy had only two monsters alive while all of my monsters were still alive.
In Round 6 the battle became 1 versus 5. Only one enemy monster remained alive and at the end of Round 6 all of the enemy units were eliminated.
In this way I got a very excellent victory in the battle.
So if you select the right monsters position them correctly and follow the ruleset you can easily get a great victory like this.
