In battles the ruleset is the real twist of the game where you get a specific restriction or advantage that you need to follow when selecting your monsters. I especially like the rulesets that give more preference to melee attacks.

For example in today’s ruleset all units have been given the Reach ability and I have very good options for selecting melee attackers. This is also a medium mana battle so there can be a good selection of monsters.

So in this battle I applied a very strange strategy and along with that I selected an aggressive lineup. Before starting any battle it is very important to understand the ruleset properly.

After reading and understanding it you should adapt your strategy in your mind. This will help increase your win rate.

So let’s look at the ruleset of this 36 mana battle which was a very interesting and excellent battle. We only had one ruleset.

RULETET 1 : MANEUVERS

This is a ruleset where all units whether allied or enemy units get the Reach ability.

And what does the Reach ability do? If you place a melee attacker in the second position it can still attack easily. Normally a melee attacker can only attack from the frontline but if a melee attacker has the Reach ability it can stay in the second position and still attack.

This means that melee attackers are given preference in this battle. So according to this ruleset it is necessary to adopt a strategy where you can easily select two strong tank monsters and heavy strikers at the beginning and both of them will continue attacking.

MY STRATEGY ACCORDING TO THIS RULESET

So let’s find out what strategy I applied according to this ruleset. I selected the +1 Armor ability for my Archon monster. This means that at the start of the battle all my units will get an increase of +1 Armor.

Why did I select the Armor ability? The reason is that this game was going to be very aggressive and because of the strong attacks there would also be strong damage. So Armor works very well in this type of ruleset.

So I selected my first tank monster which had very strong Armor and Health along with good melee attack power. After that I selected another tank monster as a secondary tank which also had good melee attack power. I selected both of them.

Now because I had created two good and strong tank setups after that I selected a ranged attacker with 2 attack power. Its job would be to continuously attack the enemy units with +2 attack power.

In the fourth position I selected a good Magic attacker with high Health which would continue destroying the Armor of any enemy unit.

And for my last monster I again selected an attacker so that my first two monsters could continuously absorb the damage while my middle TO backline positions which had a mixed combination of ranged and Magic attackers could continue attacking.

When I looked at the enemy lineup on the battlefield he had also selected some very strong strikers. Overall if we compare the attacks the enemy had seven total attack power in his team and I also had seven attack power.

ON THE BATTLEFIELD

Both sides had selected good monsters with high Health and Armor. So this was going to be a very excellent and exciting battle.

The battle started like this. In Round One and Round Two we saw heavy strikes from both teams because both teams had adopted an aggressive stance.

In Round Three my tank was continuously destroyed while the enemy’s secondary tank was eliminated.

In Round Four I thought that I had easily won this battle because only two opponents of the enemy were surviving while I had four monsters and heavy strikes.

But nobody knows what role abilities and monsters can play. You can see in Round Five that it became one versus three. That means three of my units were alive while only one enemy unit was alive.

THE GAME TURNED AROUND

But suddenly in Rounds Six and Seven the game completely turned around and the battle became one versus one. One of my units and one enemy unit survived.

For a moment I even thought that I might lose this battle because it was such an exciting and close competition.

But in Round Eight my last Magic monster survived and because of its continuous damage the enemy unit was destroyed. In this way I got a very impressive victory in the battle.

Battles like this are very interesting because you do not know until the end who is actually going to win the battle.

In today’s battle I would choose my favorite monster as Lady Amara. She continued attacking with her excellent Magic power and dealt a lot of damage to the enemy units. In the end because she survived I was able to win this battle.

What would your strategy be in this type of ruleset and which monsters would you give preference to? will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
