Today in the 60 mana battle I got to see a very interesting match and it was a very good battle where I saw a very special rule set today and this rule set is completely new for me.
In this rule set we only have to summon those units whose health is five or more. Meaning whatever monsters there are if their health is less than five then you cannot summon them.
In this modifier we were only allowed to select high health monsters. And because this is a high mana battle and because this is a strong health battle it is necessary to also choose a heavy damage dealer.
First of all let us understand the two rule sets of this battle which two rule sets came and which strategy I adopted.
BEEF CAKES
The first rule set which is also new for me is Beef Cakes. In this you can summon those units that have five or more health. Meaning if any monster has less than five health you cannot summon it.
Now if your deck has high health monsters then this rule set is a very good advantage for you. But if your deck has more monsters with less than five health then for you this is a drawbackrule set and in this type of battle struggle is possible.
So keeping this rule set in mind your strategy should be that you select monsters with five or more health and try to select heavy strikers. Because when the health is higher it is best that the damage dealer is also strong so that you can attack the enemy units with heavy damage and eliminate them.
OUTSIDER
The second rule set is Outsider in which you are only allowed to summon one Wild unit. This is a special modifier rule set in this battle which is particularly more useful in the Modern format.
Now keeping this rule set in mind your strategy should be that you should not simply choose your strongest Wild card. Instead from your team you should choose the Wild card that gives you the biggest strategic advantage as a whole team.
If you think that in this battle the preference is more toward high health monsters then you should select that type of monster as your Wild unit.
WHATS MY STRATEGY
Keeping these two rule sets in mind I selected my Archon monster as a healer. This means that before the battle starts all my allied units will get an increase of plus one health.
After that I placed a strong tank monster on the frontline which has two melee power and also has good health.
In my second position I placed a melee attacker with Reach ability so that while staying in the second position it could continue attacking the enemy units.
I placed a mixed combination of melee and ranged attackers in my midline position.
In the third position I selected a monster with a healer ability. I selected it because if my two frontline tanks are destroyed early then when its turn comes it can continuously heal itself and my aggressive attacking monsters that I placed in the backline position can remain safe.
After that from the midline to the backline I selected a mix of ranged and magic attackers. All of them are heavy damage dealers who have plus-three attack and they are excellent damage dealers.
The battle started in a very good way where the enemy units had placed their healer on the frontline. And my strong tank monster survived in the battle for quite a long time because the ability it had kept making the enemy miss for a very long time.
Then after that exactly what happened was that two of my allied units were quickly eliminated. But as soon as the healer came it survived in the battle until the end.
And in this battle this was also my favorite monster, Dread Traffarin. As soon as it came to its turn it continuously kept healing itself, kept absorbing the damage and kept all of my backline monsters safe.
And in this way I got an excellent victory in this battle. Again according to this rule set my plan worked perfectly and I got a good victory.
