I find battles more interesting when there are three modifiers and all three have restrictions. Especially when it is also a high mana battle and you have more chances to make effective selections it is going to be an excellent battle where both sides make good and effective selections. The one who pays the most attention to the rulesets and understands them will achieve victory in this battle.
Todays 47 battle mana battle was very interesting because of its three rulesets which brought an excellent twist to the battle. Especially when it is time to select monsters you also have a higher mana capacity so you can make the best monster selections and choices according to the rulesets.
It is very important to understand the rulesets properly before entering the battle or selecting monsters because you get a 50 percent chance of winning just by understanding the rulesets even before entering the battle.
Before discussing which strategy I adopted and which monsters I preferred let's first understand the three rulesets that made this battle interesting.
Ruleset 1: EQUALIZER
This is a ruleset in which the initial health of all units whether they belong to the enemy team or the allied team becomes equal to the unit with the highest base health.
For example I can see that the enemy unit selected a monster with seven health which is the highest on both teams. This means that all units whether enemy or allied will have seven base health points.
According to this ruleset you should adopt a strategy in which you try to select monsters with the lowest health but very good melee attack armor and speed.
According to this ruleset you should completely ignore the health of monsters.
Ruleset 2: POWER OF THREE
All units whether they belong to the allied team or the enemy team whose mana cost starts at three will receive an additional plus one power.
This means that if you have monster cards with a mana cost of three in your deck selecting them for this battle will give you an additional plus one power.
Because of this you should try to select monsters in your deck that have a mana cost of three.
If you do not have such cards in your deck you cannot take advantage of this ruleset.
Ruleset 3: FIRE AND REGRET
All units receive the Return Fire ability. Under this ruleset 50 percent of the damage from ranged attacks is returned to the attacker rounded up.
If a ranged attacker attacks 50 percent of its damage is returned to that same attacker.
According to this ruleset it is important to adopt a strategy in which you avoid monsters with ranged attacks and do not select them as much as possible.
My Strategy and Monster Selection
Keeping these three rulesets in mind what strategy did I adopt and which monsters did I select?
First I selected my archon monster which provides the plus one Magic ability. This means that at the beginning of the battle all my units will receive an additional plus one to their Magic power.
Keeping all the rulesets in mind I completely avoided monsters with high health and ranged attackers.
I selected a low-health monster as my first tank monster which had two melee attack power.
Similarly in the second position I again selected a low-health monster with two melee attack power. It also had the Reach ability which means that it can continue attacking even while staying in the second position.
From the third to the fifth positions I selected a mixture of Magic and ranged attackers.
My Magic attacker would receive an additional plus one Magic power and I selected one ranged attacker because I did not have any other option besides it.
Finally I selected the Spellmonger whose Thorns ability I would take full advantage of in this battle against any melee attacker.
BATTLE ANALYSIS (UNEXPECTED LOSS)
When I looked at my lineup and the enemy's lineup on the battlefield it seemed that this was going to be a very interesting battle. Both sides had quite similar monster selections and it looked like we would see strong attacks from both sides at the beginning of the first round.
In Round 2 one of my monsters which was my tank monster was eliminated. This was a major setback for my battle lineup and I became quite weak.
In Round 3 there was a small comeback. The enemy's strong tank monster was destroyed and my monster in the second position was also eliminated again.
In this way a very powerful comeback was seen in Round 4. At that point I felt that I had re-entered the battle and the battle had become four versus three.
But as soon as Round 5 started two more of my units were eliminated. The battle was now four versus one and only my last unit was still alive. I felt that I had lost this battle.
At the end of Round 6 my last monster was also eliminated and in this way I suffered a defeat in this battle.
Although I selected my monsters according to the rulesets the enemy's selections were considerably better than mine. That is why I had to face defeat in this battle.
What would your strategy be under these types of rulesets? Which monsters would you prefer? will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
