Hello Splinterlands warriors! today I want to talk about another interesting battle and tell you about my monster selection and proper strategy.
This was a very interesting 48 mana battle with three special rule sets that were very important to understand.
In any battle if you want to increase your chances of winning it is necessary to understand the rule sets or modifiers properly and select your monsters position your monsters and enter the battle accordingly. This will increase your win rate.
Before I share the battle, first let’s understand which three rule sets appeared in this battle.
OUTSIDER
The first rule set is Outsider where we are allowed to summon only one Wild unit. There is no other option for selecting a Wild unit. So in this rule set your strategy should be to select the monster card from the Wild units that is extremely powerful in terms of abilities. And after looking at the other rule sets decide which monster you should select.
Now because the Resurrect ability rule set also appeared according to this we should give preference first to a monster with high armor from the Wild units so that when it is reborn this monster can work for us. A monster with high armor is preference.'
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
Okay the second rule set is Equal Opportunity where all units will get the Opportunity ability. And what happens with the Opportunity ability is that it targets those enemy units that have the least health.
Often players select monsters with the least health as support or monsters with other good abilities and place them in the back position. But as soon as a monster gets the Opportunity ability it will attack the monsters with the least health first. This means the enemy units in the backline will be destroyed.
So what should your strategy be in this situation? You should select as many attacking monsters as possible instead of selecting support and low health monsters.
BORN AGAIN
The third rule set is Born Again where all units get the Rebirth or Resurrect ability. What happens because of this is that after all the units are eliminated they come back to life but only with one health and 100 armor. And all magic debuffs are removed when this ability activates meaning no magic debuff will affect them.
Keeping this ability in mind your effort should be to select monsters with high armor so that when they come back to life the armor can protect their health.
Keeping these three rule sets in mind I made my plan. I selected my Archon with +1 magic attack ability so that the power of all my monsters with magic attacks would increase.
As I mentioned in this rule set you have to focus on monsters with armor and higher attack. So in the frontline I selected a high armor strong tank monster. In the second position, I selected a melee attacker with the Reach ability.
In the middle to end positions I used a mixed combination of ranged and magic attackers so that first the first two tank monsters could keep absorbing the damage while my monsters in the back positions could continuously attack the enemy units and keep working properly according to the rule sets.
The battle started in a very good way. This battle was supposed to continue for 19 rounds. Unfortunately the enemy units had also selected very good monsters.
At the beginning of the battle both sides continued to deal heavy damage. But my frontline was eliminated quickly. And in this way one by one my frontline monsters were destroyed which made me very sad.
But because my monster selection was not strong enough I did not win this battle. Instead I suffered a defeat.
And my biggest mistake in this battle was that I placed my ranged attacker too far in the back. I should have placed my ranged attacker in the middle position so that it could attack.
And the second thing was that the enemy units had a good and strong monster selection. So because of this I faced defeat in this battle.
Still this battle was very interesting. My plan failed according to these rule sets but I learned a lot from it.
What would your strategy be in this type of rule set and which monsters would you give preference to? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.\
