Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry is the writer of muslim political thought. He did M.A in history, DIA(pb) and M.A in political science from prestigious institute.
First of all he discuss the political ,social and cultural era of Arabs from 1A.D. to 600 A.D.in that era, paganism was prevailed in Arab.They were worse in every field of life.War,women and wine were three absorbing passions of Arabs.They were called Bedouins by western historian.The poet of every tribe exchange satires while soldiers exchanged swords.The battle between Bani bakr and Bani taghlib lasted for forty years which was started on camel beating.Seventeen hundred battles were fought before the 600A.D.
Women were considered as play things for sexual pleasure.Polyandry and polygamy were practised among Arabs.
There was no central government to enforce laws. Every tribe had its own laws.The Arabs were divided into many tribes. Each tribe has its own elder.There was no permanent Judge.In criminal cases eye for eye life for life was the recognized law.An outlaw or a tribeless man had no protection and safety.Every tribe was responsible for his own members.Killing, looting and stealing were hailed as acts of heroism.
Bedside idols they worshipped sun,the moon and the forces of nature.They didn't believe in one God.The house of kaaba was turned into a house of idols.There were 360 idols in Kaaba.Paganism was the sole religion of ancient Arabs.Every tribe and clan has its own idols and Gods.
The economy of Arabia was much unsatisfactory.The soil was barren and agriculture was impossible.The economic condition of the people was worse.In their nomadic life,Camel which is known as a ship of desert played an important role.The chief crope was date.
Grapes were also abundantly grown in Taif city.The city of Macca was the epitome of trade and commerce The Arab merchants used to travel India,China and Malaya for trade purpose.
The educational system was not so developed but there was an ignorance, barbarism and feudalism.But Arabs were great in poetry and memory.The Ode and Qasida was the perfect type of work.The Ode surpasses the IIiad and Odyessy in metrical composition.
The most respectable personality is Amir ul Qais.In Arabs, all the crimes were practised.Paganism and immorality was rampant throughout the Arabia.
Professor Hitti says that the stage was set the moment was psychological, for the rise of great religious and Nation leader.
