Bringing Nature to Life: "Quiero Vivir Mejor" Live Performance in Puerto La Cruz
Hello
From the AlfaSueños Family, it gives us great joy to share once again our work in the performing arts with all of you. Theater is not only a space for entertainment, but also a powerful tool for education, reflection, and social transformation. On this occasion, we want to take you along to our performance of the ecological play titled "Quiero Vivir Mejor" (I Want to Live Better), held at the cultural venue in Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui State.
Behind the Scenes and Stage Production
"Quiero Vivir Mejor" is a dramatic and comedic piece where animal characters take center stage to make us reflect on human coexistence, environmental care, and respect for wildlife.
In the photographs we are sharing today, you can see the different characters interacting on stage: from the chickens and birds representing innocence and teamwork, to the clever wolf adding dynamism and tension to the plot.
Every single performance requires a huge team effort:
Costume Design & Crafting: All our costumes are handmade, using fabrics, textures, and colorful details to give life and volume to each animal.
Character Makeup: We spend hours backstage working on facial makeup to achieve bold expressions that stand out under the stage lights and reach the very back row.
Physical & Character Acting: Playing animals requires specific body movement training: bent postures, fast movements, and exaggerated gestures to connect with both children and adults.
The Impact of Community & Street Theater
Performing this play in Puerto La Cruz was a deeply rewarding experience. Seeing the smiles on families' faces, the wonder of children interacting with the characters, and hearing the applause at the end reminds us why we love independent theater. We strongly believe that culture should be accessible to everyone and that through the stage, we can plant a seed of awareness about preserving our planet.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who makes it possible for AlfaSueños Teatro to continue bringing art, drama, and entertainment to different communities across Venezuela.
