Regarding the witness, let it produce blocks, remind people that you exist and let it compound.

I run a witness, on the former chain, with hardware servers in our locations. It did quite well, and we did not sell a SteemHive. We decided to take it out, due to other reasons, not because it was not profitable.

Will probably buy some DAO also, as your analysis is good, but need to read a little more.
