¡Buena comunidad de La Colmena! Ha pasado un buen rato desde la última vez que publiqué algo por aquí, pero hoy quiero compartirles un avance muy especial y personal: mi proyecto de armar mi propia PC de escritorio, algo que soñaba desde que estaba en la universidad.
Han pasado 5 meses desde que comencé a trabajar en KFC, y ese esfuerzo ha rendido frutos. Aunque la PC aún no está al 100%, me llena de orgullo decir que ya está funcional y sólo me faltan algunos detalles: el monitor, el micrófono y el escritorio.
A continuación, les dejo el paso a paso de cómo fui armando mi Sentinel Strike System (SSS) y lo que representa para mí cada componente:
Hello, La Colmena community! It's been a while since I last posted anything here, but today I want to share a very special and personal development: my project to build my own desktop PC, something I've dreamed of since college.
It's been 5 months since I started working at KFC, and that effort has paid off. Although the PC isn't 100% ready yet, I'm proud to say it's fully functional and only a few details are missing: the monitor, the microphone, and the desktop.
Below, I'll share a step-by-step guide on how I built my Sentinel Strike System (SSS) and what each component means to me:
1° Gabinete – MSI Gungnir 100D
Fue lo primero que compré. Recuerdo que entraba en mi turno de intermedio a las 12 am y la tienda cerraba a las 8 pm, pero me animé igual y me lo llevé... ¡en bicicleta! No fue fácil, pero el gabinete llegó sano y salvo a casa.
1st Case – MSI Gungnir 100D
It was the first thing I bought. I remember starting my shift at 12 a.m. and the store closed at 8 p.m., but I was brave enough to take it with me... on my bike! It wasn't easy, but the case arrived home safe and sound.
2° Placa madre – ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WIFI II
Esta fue recomendación de mi tío, que sabe bastante del tema. Me aseguró que era una gran opción para lo que yo buscaba: gaming y streaming, y no se equivocó.

3° Memorias RAM – XPG Spectrix D35G DDR4 2x8GB (16GB)
Las elegí por su diseño, pero pronto planeo expandirlas a 32GB con otro kit idéntico, para tener margen de sobra.

I chose these for their design, but I plan to expand them to 32GB soon with another identical kit, to have plenty of headroom.
4° Fuente de poder – MSI MAG A750GL 80PLUS GOLD
Quería algo confiable, con buena eficiencia y que pudiera alimentar todo sin preocuparme por el voltaje.

5° Almacenamiento – MSI SPATIUM M450 NVMe M.2 1TB
Fue por necesidad. Mi notebook actual tenía solo 500GB y me quedaba sin espacio para el contenido del stream. Ahora tengo espacio de sobra para grabar, editar y jugar sin compromisos.

It was out of necessity. My current laptop only had 500GB, and I was running out of space for streaming content. Now I have plenty of space to record, edit, and game without compromise.

Originalmente quería una RTX 4060, pero se agotó justo cuando me pagaron. Me sentí mal al principio, pero gracias a una consulta con ChatGPT terminé eligiendo esta RTX 3060.

I originally wanted an RTX 4060, but it sold out right after I got paid. I felt bad at first, but thanks to a consultation with ChatGPT, I ended up choosing this RTX 3060.
