I don't feel anecdotes are strong evidence. But it's also not true to say large numbers of anecdotes which corroborate each other aren't evidence of any kind either, as that would preclude self-reported symptoms, which medical science often relies upon. I would categorize it as evidence of a weak and unreliable sort, but which still merits consideration.
