Do you believe in generalizations? Do you think it is possible to make general statements about people in a group and have validity to your claims? For example, are women more emotional than men? Are men more aggressive?

Sometimes you will hear scientists use the phrase, "you can't do just one thing". Meaning, if you change one variable, something else will change. And you don't need to change it in actual fact: you can do it in imagination. For example, if you change "man" to "woman", it's unlikely that will be the only thing that you will change. If we have the ability to tell that a large group of people are women, and another large group of people are men, it's highly unlikely that is the only thing in which they are different. And that is in fact the case: there is a large literature exploring - and finding - large sex differences.

But we live in an age where people so much want to deny nature and differences, that they're even denying that biological sex is real! They think it's a social construction.
