Good evening community!
Today has been an exhausting day for me, but I am very happy to have finished this DIY, today I will share with you how I made this diamond pickaxe from the game Minecraft, this game personally I do not like, but my son does and he is very excited to have a diamond pickaxe for Christmas, I saw that they sold it on the internet but it was very expensive, so I got up the courage to do it myself using a lot of glue and a lot of cardboard, although it was not perfect I did what I could with what I had, I just pray that when my son uses it, it will resist enough hahaha, also I had to do all this hidden in a room because obviously he should not see the gift that "Santa Claus" will bring him, I swear I still can not believe everything I did, I finished this in two days because I needed to let the glue stand, I used different types of cardboard to assemble the whole pickaxe, some thicker than others because I did not have much cardboard at home, so I ended up using the cardboard where the washing machine we bought recently came from, anyway, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process
To begin, I took white cardboard with a measure of 40x40 centimeters, then I measured 2.5 cm for each edge to start making the guide squares and to be able to draw the pickaxe, after making the squares with the help of the ruler, I began to trace the shape of the beak, it was something simple because the squares helped me a lot to guide me to the shape.
Then I cut out the shape and took a piece of cardboard where I held with the help of a large magnet the silhouette and transferred it to the cardboard, I repeated the procedure with 4 more cardboard, it was the most difficult of all, the cardboard was really quite thick, it cost me a lot to cut and that had consequences in that the shape was not exactly the same for all the cardboard, so if you want to do it I recommend using a little thinner cardboard.
After I had all the pieces, I started to glue them with white glue, applying a thick layer on each one and let them dry until the next day, I kept them pressed with the help of a big book so that everything would stick very well.
Today in the morning it was still wet, it had a lot of glue, I put it to dry in front of a fan and everything went a little faster, then I took a thinner cardboard and glued it on both sides of the pickaxe, this layer that I added, had the guide lines, to reinforce even more I applied more glue on top, a thinner layer so it would dry faster.
I had to fill in the edges, but this time thick cardboard was not an option, so I took cereal box cardboard and started to glue it in the corners, everything was already glued, but I was worried about the holes that were left since the figures were not equal, but I could not leave all this work half done, so I continued, it was time to paint, I took brown and black paint and mixed them to make a dark brown and start painting the squares in the corner that are darker and in the center lighter brown.
Then I used blue paint, which I mixed with white because it was very dark, paint the parts in blue and then mixed with more white to paint the lighter parts, paint everything the same on both sides and even the corners, then apply a coat of white glue to make the colors look more saturated and bright, it has not yet dried completely but it looks pretty good, now just wait for Christmas to surprise my son, I'm very happy with the result, although it cost me my back and my hands hahaha.
