Hello Fascinating Insect Lover..
This afternoon around 16.30 I took my sister to accompany me to hunt insects in a former swamp area overgrown with grass and ferns. Why did I choose this location? the reason is because the grass and other wild plants are still fresh there. Of course it becomes an ideal place to live for insects.
And sure enough, I managed to get two kinds of insects there. Among them is Rose plume moth (Cnaemidophorus rhododactyla), a moth from the superfamily Pterophoroidea, family Pterophoridae. This very small moth is indeed a little different, because in addition to its small size its shape is also unique.
Then in the second photo is Episyrphus balteatus, this hoverfly from the Syrphidae family also looks elegant with its yellow and black color. Besides that, it is characteristic of this type of fly that it will not be far from flowering wild plants. That's all for today's hunting story, see you at the next insect finding.
