This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
I use used motorbike tires as a fence (protection) to plant pineapple trees in my yard and this morning when I wanted to water the pineapple plants, I found tropical carpenter bees there.
Of course this makes my heart very happy because these past few days I haven't had time to go to the forest to hunt insect macro objects as usual. And of course I didn't waste this opportunity, I rushed to take my favorite macro lens & immediately photographed the tropical wood bee.
The tropical carpenter bee itself has the scientific name Xylocopa latipes from the Apidae family. This carpenter bee species is indeed widespread throughout Southeast Asia. Usually they make nests by digging wood, even in ancient times beehives were often used as toys for children.
Children usually use plastic bags as traps to catch wood bees, plastic bags are placed in the holes in the wood where the bees have perforated, then on the other side of the wood that becomes the honeycomb is shaken or beaten with other small wood so that the bees are in the wood. will come out.
And below I include some photos of wood bees which I mean hopefully some of these photos are worthy of being part of today's #monomad challenge collection.
