Anyway, as a person who lives in a tropical country like Indonesia, I am certainly no stranger to insects. At least I often meet several species of insects in the bushes or forests.
And in this post I want to share beautiful, unique and interesting insect species. Why?
Because the flower fly species or also better known as the hoverfly that I share has a quite beautiful and unique appearance from other hoverfly genera.
So where is the uniqueness?
I think it lies in the color display, he has a bee-like appearance when he is flying and the most prominent is in his eyes, if other hoverfly species have plain eye colors but this hoverfly species has a very very attractive eye color with a combination of freckles black spot.
In addition, this hoverfly is one of the most difficult to photograph. He's really very wild, if you don't believe me please try to take a picture of him. :)
Then where can we find this hoverfly?
I myself got it in wild flower plants on the edge of the rice fields. Not without reason he likes these wildflowers, this is because this hoverfly really likes the nectar in flowers.
As for the hoverfly genus, I mean Eristalinus fuscicornis which is known to be unique and agile. And here I show some photos below.
