In this post I want to share some photos of insect species. As for the insect, I mean the ladybug or in my area this type is popularly known as the "kumbang koksi". Some of the ladybug photos that I uploaded in this post are photos of me that I took using my smartphone camera in a separate location a few days ago.
Okay, I'll just explain a little about this ladybug according to what I know, both from what I read in several sources and my observations when I hunted insects in the forest.
As we know, insect species are widely distributed throughout the world and one of them is the ladybug. Ladybug itself also has several types of colors, and generally red and orange as I uploaded this. Ladybug is also an insect species that can be considered small. This refers to the size of the body and the length of the body which is not big and long.
And what's interesting about this ladybug is that it is an environmentally friendly insect species, aka not a pest, instead it becomes a friend to farmers.
Why? while several other types of insects such as grasshoppers, leaf beetles become a scourge for farmers, but ladybugs actually prey on fleas which are pests for cultivated plants.
How, interesting is not it? In addition to its small body size which makes it look cute, the ladybug also does not threaten cultivated plants even though it also lives among rice plants, eggplant and several other cultivated plants.
Note! However, there species of ladybug are also pests of eggplant because they eat eggplant leaves. :)
And one of the ladybugs that also eats leaves is this uploaded ladybug. As for ladybugs I mean is Epilachna varivestis, a genus of beetles in the Coccinellidae family.
