If you ended up on this post, then I will assume you already know what Splinterlands is all about.
When I started playing, I was overwhelmed with the amount of information available and the numerous third-party resources that I could leverage to improve my game and earnings.
For your convenience, I have put together an inventory of the most useful websites and other resources that I have been using to navigate the game. Let’s get to it…
Get the essential tools to get started with the game.
Hive.io
Splinterlands runs on the Hive blockchain. Hive is a decentralized information sharing network with a blockchain-based financial ledger using a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) protocol. Hive supports many different types of information sharing applications. You can learn more about the Hive ecosystem here.
Official Documentation
One of the best places to start is with the official documentation. It gives a concise overview of all aspects of Splinterlands, including gameplay, rewards system, cards and much more.
KeyChain
To interact with any of the Hive DApps (including Splinterlands), you will need a Hive wallet. Keychain is one of the most popular and the preferred login method for Splinterlands, as it allows for seamless integration and it’s available as a convenient Chrome/Brave/Firefox browser extension.
Once you purchase your Summoner’s Spellbook, which is required to unlock rewards and access the full functionalities of Splinterlands, a unique HIVE blockchain account is created and you can use KeyChain to securely store the keys needed to interact with your account.
A comprehensive list of Hive wallets can be found here.
You can access the market directly from the game, however there are several third-party websites that can help you with your trading.
PeakMonsters
This great resource allows you to access stats on your account, as well as the full market and trade/rent cards.
Main features:
Splintercards
The website has all the info you need to learn about Monsters and Summoners in the game.
Main features:
MonsterMarket
This is a secondary market for cards and packs.
Main features:
SplintX
Another secondary market, which also gives access to purchase packs and potions.
Blogs are an endless resource of helpful information for beginners and more experienced players. There are many different websites that use the same backend, which is one thing that confused me when I first entered the space.
The most popular platforms are Hive.blog, Peakd and Splintertalk. Basically, when you create a post on one of these websites it will automatically be available on the others so long as you use the appropriate tag. Hive.blog and Peakd do not depend on a certain tag, therefore any post you publish on one will also be published on the other. However, if you want your post to be published on Splintertalks, you will have to include the #splinterlands tag.
DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) and SPS (Splintershards) are the two in-game tokens.
DEC is the official currency of Splinterlands. You can earn it through clearing daily quests, winning battles, selling or renting cards and many other ways, or you can purchase it here:
SPS is the cryptocurrency governance token which will is integrated into Splinterlands in order to provide increasing levels of decision-making ability and control over the product to the player-base, asset owners, and other stakeholders. You can earn it as a reward for staking SPS itself or you can purchase it here:
A few more useful resources.
SplinterStats
The website displays data regarding the remaining reward edition cards for Splinterlands.
HiveData
Useful resource for global stats related to cards, sales volume, and tournament winners.
Fandom
Fandom is a collection of online encyclopedias, each one specializing in a particular subject. Although Fandom allows almost anything to be the main focus of a wiki, the most common interest of its users is in popular fiction franchises of films, games, books, and other media.
The Splinterlands section includes everything from game guides, information on cards, packs, lands and rewards, and pretty much anything else related to the game.
Hope you will find this Guide helpful, thank you for reading!
