You heard me right, the American norm is yet indeed screwed up families. It is becoming more common than normal families nowadays, and I thought I would share my 2 cents on the topic.

Some light on the topic...
Now, let me start off by saying that I understand that the US is not the only country worldwide that has high divorce rates and high amounts of divided families. However, it is up there in the charts.
Nowadays, it is normal to be divorced and to have kids go to their dad and moms house on certain days and schedules, or to have a parent run away, be arrested, or something of that nature. The American divorce rate is getting higher and higher and when you go outside, it will be a common occurrence to bump into a family that has been divided.
When you go to school now, pretty much everyone has divorced parents, a run away parent, an arrested parent, dead parents, or something along those lines. I can name countless times I've had friends who had divorced parents, that it is just sad.

That situation is just sad, and the thing is, it is a very common occurrence in America. And the thing is my parents are also divorced as well, which should tell you something. But gladly, my parents are friends and have a good relationship currently and we still do live together.
