Hola comunidad de #hive hoy quisiera compartir con ustedes una breve reflexión. Muchas veces por estar metidos en tantas ocupaciones descuidamos de nuestra relación íntima con Dios y hoy quiero contarte de un rey que le pasó exactamente eso.
Hello #hive community, today I would like to share with you a brief reflection. Many times because we are involved in so many occupations we neglect our intimate relationship with God and today I want to tell you about a king who did exactly that.
Asa, un rey que comenzó muy bien su reinado pero terminó muy mal. Casi todos los reyes que describe la biblia cayeron en idolatría muy pocos buscaron a Dios de verdad. Asa fue un rey que en sus primeros años confió plenamente en Dios e hizo cosas radicales para mantenerse fiel al Señor, entre esas acciones está, el haber quitado a su abuela cómo Reina madre, porque ésta era una mujer idólatra que había profanado el templo. Además, hizo un juramento con el pueblo para el Señor de aniquilar todo aquel que se negara a servir allí al Señor, fuera joven, anciano, hombre o mujer.
Asa, a king who began his reign very well but ended very badly. Almost all the kings described in the Bible fell into idolatry, very few truly sought God. Asa was a king who in his early years trusted fully in God and did radical things to remain faithful to the Lord, among those actions is to have removed his grandmother as Queen mother, because she was an idolatrous woman who had profaned the temple. In addition, he swore an oath with the people for the Lord to annihilate anyone who refused to serve the Lord there, whether young, old, male or female.
El Señor trajo paz en su reinado, pero como todo hombre que si no alimenta su relación con el Señor se enfría, así pasó con Asa, a través de los años se hizo poderoso y comenzó a confiar en su poder y su fuerza en lugar de descansar y seguir confiando en Dios. Cuando las cosas se complicaron confió en otro hombre para ser liberado y poder vencer en la guerra y Dios lo reprendió, pero su corazón estaba tan lejos del Señor que en lugar de reconocer su error se enojó y se alejó aún mas.
The Lord brought peace in his reign, but like any man who if he does not nurture his relationship with the Lord grows cold, so it happened with Asa, through the years he became powerful and began to rely on his power and strength instead of resting and continuing to trust in God. When things got complicated he trusted in another man to be delivered and to be able to win the war and God rebuked him, but his heart was so far from the Lord that instead of recognizing his mistake he got angry and moved further away.
En sus últimos años, cuando cayó gravemente enfermo, no recurrió al Señor sino que confió plenamente en sus médicos, pero estos no pudieron hacer nada por él. Y así murió un rey que en principio comenzó su carrera bien pero la terminó muy mal. Como decimos nosotros: " tanto nadar pa' morir en la orilla".
In his last years, when he fell seriously ill, he did not turn to the Lord but trusted fully in his physicians, but they could do nothing for him. And so died a king who at first began his career well but ended it very badly. As we say: "so much swimming to die on the shore".
Reflexionemos en la vida del rey Asa, primero miremos hacia atrás y preguntémonos ¿Sigo amando, sirviendo y buscando a Dios como cuando comencé? ¿He crecido, me mantengo o estoy retrocediendo? ¿Confío en mis fuerzas o en la fuerza y voluntad perfecta y agradable de Dios?
Let us reflect on the life of King Asa, first let us look back and ask ourselves: Am I still loving, serving and seeking God as when I started? Have I grown, am I maintaining myself or am I going backwards? Do I trust in my own strength or in God's perfect and pleasing will and strength?
Si al ver y analizar tu vida (esto también lo estoy aplicando yo) te das cuenta que no está tan "bien" como quisieras o como debería de estar, recuerda que tenemos un Dios justo, amoroso y sumamente misericordioso que no rechaza un corazón arrepentido y humillado que busca verdaderamente de su presencia, podemos acercarnos confiadamente ante su trono para ser perdonados y hallar el oportuno auxilio que nuestro corazón necesita.
If upon seeing and analyzing your life (this is also being applied by me) you realize that it is not as "right" as you would like or as it should be, remember that we have a just, loving and most merciful God who does not reject a repentant and humbled heart that truly seeks His presence, we can confidently approach before His throne to be forgiven and find the timely help that our heart needs.

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
