I think the most common pets that people can have are cats or dogs, but a pet rooster is something very uncommon, have you ever seen a pet rooster, well if your answer is no, I have the joy of showing you this beautiful genus of birds.
I must say that when I was a child I had the opportunity to take care of about five chickens, including a hen and three roosters. They are docile animals if you give them love and attention, just as you would a dog or a cat. They like the cuddles that humans can give them, they are even capable of eating out of your hand without being afraid or running away terrified. Sometimes we have a different image of these animals, as if they are only from farms and will never become part of a family.
Today I want to show you this peculiar pet of a beautiful family I met recently. This beautiful rooster that wakes up his owners since 4:00 in the morning, his name is "Carlucho".
Creo que las mascotas más comunes que pueden tener las personas son gatos o perros, pero un gallo de mascota es algo muy poco común, ¿has visto alguna vez un gallo de mascota?, pues si tu respuesta es negativa, tengo la dicha de mostrarte este hermoso género de aves.
Debo decir que cuando era una niña tuve la oportunidad de cuidar unos cinco pollos, entre ellos una gallina y tres gallos. Son animales dóciles si se les da amor y se le presta atención, así como lo harías con un perro o un gato. Les gustan los mimos que los humanos les puedan dar, hasta son capaces de comer de tu mano sin sentir temor o huir despavoridos. A veces nos hacemos una imagen diferente de estos animales, como que son sólo de granjas y que jamás llegarán a ser parte de una familia.
Hoy quiero mostrarles esta peculiar mascota de una hermosa familia que conocí hace poco. Este hermoso gallo que despierta a su dueños desde las 4:00 de la mañana, se llama "Carlucho".
Carlucho is a beautiful black rooster, his feathers are iridescent, when the sun shines on them they produce an impressive brightness. He lives surrounded by four people who spoil him a lot, a little gray dog and many other wild animals. The first time I saw him, he was in a tree singing at the top of his lungs. At first I thought that Carlucho was going to run away if I approached him a little bit, to my surprise it was not so, the rooster remained calm and accepted my cuddles and allowed me to hold him in my arms, almost as if he was a baby.
Carlucho es un hermoso gallo de color negro, sus plumas son tornasol, cuando les da el sol producen un brillo impresionante. Vive rodeado de cuatro personas que lo miman mucho, un perrito color gris y muchos otros animales silvestres. La primera vez que lo vi, estaba en un árbol cantando a todo pulmón. Al principio pensé que Carlucho iba a salir corriendo si me le acercaba un poco, para mi sorpresa no fue así, el gallo se mantuvo tranquilo y aceptó mis mimos y permitió que lo sostuviera en brazos, casi como si fuera un bebé.
Seeing this scene I must reaffirm something I have always thought, all animals deserve love and respect, regardless of their gender. Sometimes we sympathize only with the pets we already know, but we forget about the others who also deserve to receive love and dignified treatment. I hope that the next time you see one of these animals you see them in a different way, with loving eyes and not only as merchandise, they deserve all the love that can come from our heart ❤️.

Al ver esta escena debo reafirmar algo que siempre he pensado, todos los animales merecen amor y respeto, sin importar su género. A veces nos compadecemos sólo de los animales domésticos que ya conocemos, pero nos olvidamos de los demás que también merecen recibir amor y un trato digno. Espero que la próxima vez que veas un animalito de estos los veas de forma distinta, con ojos de cariño y no sólo como mercancía, ellos merecen todo el cariño que pueda salir de nuestro corazón ❤️.
