Hello everybody
Let's go to another one of those macro photography sessions that i've been sharing lately.
The specimens that i have photographed are collected during the hikes i take in one of the mountains that exist close to my house.
The specimen chosen to present today was a small piece of moss that i found clinging to a rock on which some rays of sunlight shone through the leaves at the top of a pine tree.
The removal was done surgically, with some material that i take with me on these walks, with the aim of bringing back some specimens.
Some time has passed since i made and shared some of these examples, making the recordings on site, taking advantage of the natural sunlight and the surrounding environment, and i confess that it gives a very different and particular touch, very different from the recordings made in a controlled environment with artificial light, as is the case today.
I hope to be able to share some of these recordings again very soon, but for now i'm collecting these models and carrying out the sessions here in my home studio :)
The photos i captured of the moss reveal a truly enchanting scene that looks like some kind of magical forest when observed up close.
Fascinating how small plants emerge with shapes that resemble cocoons, displaying vivid colors and delicately blossoming from the small green leaves.
The vibrant colors of these small plants contrast surprisingly with the soft green of the surrounding moss, creating a unique visual contrast.
It is possible to feel something magical emanating from this small ecosystem.

- My introductory thoughts about macro photography:
It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.
Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.
Let's now move onto the result:
Exploring these small specimens through macro photography reveals a captivating dimension where the tiny takes on a preponderant meaning and the most sublime details take on a central role. Diving into the intricacies of these small creations gives us the opportunity to witness the charm of a kingdom that often escapes our attention. Each photograph captures a still moment, emphasizing the opulence carefully hidden in the tiniest aspects of the natural world. From my perspective, the heart of macro photography lies in its power to transmute the ordinary into the exceptional, presenting an intimate and captivating point of view.
Layers of intricate subtleties intertwine to compose a vibrant representation of resilience and beauty, permeating even the smallest facets of existence. In each image i discover more than a mere visual documentation, i find a tangible representation of the complexity and richness that silently populate our surroundings, often forgotten and easily unnoticed.
