The theme this week is ROADS.
Very often you can hear from fellow citizens that there are no roads in Russia, but there are simply directions that you can go.
And I also heard an expression attributed to some reputable foreign automaker that Russians don't know how to make roads, so they make good all-terrain vehicles. Although... I would argue with that, too.
But I want to say that the roads have been better maintained in recent years. What will happen this year? Summer has begun, let's hope that the roads will be repaired as in previous years. In the spring, the road from my house to the office was slightly repaired, the holes that formed in the winter were sealed.
I lied a little. It's not really the way to the office from my house. In the summer I sometimes live outside the city. So this morning I was driving along the federal highway towards the regional center.
The entrance to the city can be very busy, so I was in a hurry to enter the city before 7 am, when there are still few cars on the road. In some places I violated the rules of the road. There are a lot of solid lanes drawn on the road, on which it is impossible to overtake, but many cars drive very slowly. To drive outside the city at a speed of 60-70 km / h, I think this is a great disrespect to other motorists. The road section was built in Soviet times, when less than one car drove along it in a few minutes and no one thought that it was necessary to move 2 lanes in one direction in order to allow cars to drive at the correct speed and not violate the rules of overtaking.
There are very few areas with permitted overtaking. Here I was lucky on this stretch of road. Overtaking is allowed in this place and there are no oncoming cars! I overtook 3 cars at once.
Yes, there are sections of a good road! It was made last year. I think it should be enough for 2 years.
I decided not to show dirt roads, which I often drive towards the forest or river. And I also like to walk on them with my feet.
