Hunter's comment

I've got a bevy of smart devices throughout my home: lights, Chromecast, Fire stick, thermostat, etc. They all have remotes, but don't really have a good single point of control. Even more frustrating is that my TV is not smart and my phone has no IR blaster, so I can control what's playing, but have to actually move to turn on the tv or change to the correct input.

The Harmony Hub is, based on my reading, the most universally compatible system out there, solving this problem and saving me from having to get any exercise.
