I've always been fascinated by umbrellas as one of the most impactful and easiest accessories that make subjects stand out in a street scene. Sometimes it's their shape, other times it's unusual colors or the way they gather and reflect raindrops.

They add a bit of mystery usually concealing subject's face and also cast interesting shadows under street lamps and on wet road.

Below are images I've made over the last few weeks. First and last one are literally in front of my house meaning you should always be ready and train the eye to look for compelling compositions even in the common places. Hope you enjoy the photos!
