Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una breve pero poderosa reflexión sobre un versículo bíblico que nos invita a la empatía y a la acción social: Deuteronomio 15:11.

"Porque no faltarán menesterosos en medio de la tierra; por eso yo te mando, diciendo: Abrirás tu mano a tu hermano, al pobre y al menesteroso en tu tierra."
Este versículo no es una resignación ante la pobreza, sino un llamado perpetuo a la generosidad y la compasión. Dios nos recuerda que las dificultades económicas siempre existirán en el mundo, pero precisamente por eso, quienes tienen la capacidad de ayudar no deben cerrar su corazón. "Abrir la mano" significa actuar con desprendimiento, solidaridad y amor fraternal, reconociendo que el bienestar de nuestra comunidad depende de nuestra disposición para apoyarnos mutuamente.
En nuestro municipio Guanipa, esto cobra un sentido real en el trabajo diario. A través del esfuerzo cotidiano, buscamos tender puentes y tender la mano a quienes más lo necesitan. Esta palabra se ha vuelto aún más urgente tras el fuerte golpe del histórico doblete sísmico que sacudió a Venezuela el pasado 24 de junio de 2026. Aunque el epicentro y los peores daños se concentraron en zonas como La Guaira y Caracas, el impacto emocional y la necesidad de ayuda humanitaria nos conmueven a todos. En momentos de desastre natural, es cuando el mandato de "abrir la mano al hermano" se convierte en nuestra mayor responsabilidad para levantar juntos al país, demostrando que la fe se traduce en acciones de apoyo y resiliencia diaria.

This verse is not a resignation to poverty, but a perpetual call to generosity and compassion. God reminds us that financial hardships will always exist in the world, but precisely because of this, those who have the ability to help must not close their hearts. To "open wide your hand" means to act with selflessness, solidarity, and brotherly love, recognizing that the well-being of our community depends on our willingness to support one another.

In our Guanipa municipality, this takes on a real meaning in our daily work. Through our everyday efforts, we strive to build bridges and reach out to those who need it most. This word has become even more urgent following the heavy blow of the historic double earthquake that shook Venezuela on June 24, 2026. Although the epicenter and the worst damages were concentrated in areas like La Guaira and Caracas, the emotional impact and the need for humanitarian aid move us all. In times of natural disaster, that is when the mandate to "open wide your hand to your brother" becomes our greatest responsibility to lift the country together, proving that faith translates into daily actions of support and resilience.
