"But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will arise, and salvation will come under their wings" (Malachi 4.2).

This was the last prophecy of the Old Testament about the coming of the Messiah to the world. When Jesus came, Matthew testified, saying: "The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light, and to those who lay in the region of the shadow of death, the light was shining." (Mt.4.16) Jesus is the sun of justice.

Let's think a little about the sun we know. This magnificent star illuminates us every day. A single sun is capable of illuminating the entire planet earth, while illuminating other planets of our system. If the earth were flat, it would be all illuminated at the same time, but since it is round, it always has one part with its back to the sun, remaining then in darkness. In the same way, if many are in spiritual darkness it is because they turned their backs on God. If many are lost in evil, in condemnation, it is not because of God, nor because of divine incapacity. It is written: "The hand of the Lord is not crouched so that he can not save, nor his ear aggravated so that he can not hear, but your iniquities separate you and your God, and your sins hide their faces so that they will not hear you.

Another interesting question about the sun is that when night comes, we light thousands or perhaps millions of lamps everywhere, but all of them together do not produce a minimum percentage of heat or light that the sun produces. This shows us the insignificance of man's resources before the greatness of God's works. In the same way, the one who turns his back on Jesus looks for many lamps to light up and to warm himself.

There are so many false gods, so many saints, so many guides, so many amulets, so many talismans, so many magical objects, but all that together produces nothing that can replace the presence of Christ in the life of man.

Stop looking for artificial lights. Return to the true light, the sun of justice, Jesus Christ, the only Savior. He himself said: "I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8.12) Enlightened by Christ we will not miss the way to our eternal abodes in the heavenly regions . Hallelujah!
