@mundo.autismo/juego-and-aprendizaje-azul-1er-concurso-hiveblue-2026

Aa = de Árbol
Ee = de Elefante
Ii = de Iglesia
Oo = de Oso
Uu = de Uva

Diapositiva2.JPG

A jugar Memoria azul 😊

Hello, Hive and Mundo Autismo friends! Today I'm here to show you the game I created and named Blue Memory. This is the idea I came up with to participate in this wonderful initiative of educational games during Autism Awareness Month.

Here's the link to the contest, and I'd like to invite nanyuris@nanyuris and parauri@parauri.

@mundo.autismo/juego-and-aprendizaje-azul-1er-concurso-hiveblue-2026

My Blue Memory game is a memory game with vowels. This idea came from remembering a similar game I played as a child. The difference is that mine used the letters of the alphabet, and it helped me a lot to learn the letters and pronounce them. This game also helps exercise memory and concentration; in fact, that's where its name comes from.

The Blue Memory game I created is simpler because it only uses vowels, so any child can understand and enjoy it.

It consists of 10 cards, two for each vowel. Each card has a picture of the letter in uppercase and lowercase, along with a picture of a fruit, animal, or object corresponding to that vowel.

Aa = for Tree
Ee = for Elephant
Ii = for Church
Oo = for Bear
Uu = for Grape

Slide2.JPG

Okay, next I'll show you how to play and how I did it so you can play too.

Let's play Blue Memory 😊

One or two children can play. If there are two, the incentive is to see who guesses the most letters. If it's just one child, they can play as many times as they want. Remember, the idea is to develop memory and learn letters by associating them with the pictures. It's very important to always acknowledge each child's effort.

Place the cards face down in a random order.

Slide3.JPG

The child who starts the game chooses any card and turns it over. They must say the letter and the name of the image. Then they must try to find the matching card. If a different card is drawn, meaning the child doesn't find the matching pair, they must turn both cards over and wait for another turn.

Then the child who starts the game chooses any card and turns it over. Slide4.JPG

The game ends when all the pairs of cards are matched, completing the 5 vowel letters.

This game can cause tension for children due to the emotions involved in trying to guess the position of the cards to make the pairs, but the person leading the game should congratulate the children and smile at them a lot. Being kind is important to give children confidence; remember that autistic people are very insecure, especially when we are young.

Now for the step-by-step instructions 😊

I made the Blue Memory game with materials I had at home, and I think you can have them too to make this game. Okay, friends, here's the list:

White paper
Cardstock
Pencil
Pencil sharpener
Eraser
Scissors
Ruler
Glue
Colored pencils and markers (they're in my pencil case) School Project

Slide8.JPG

Slide9.JPG

First, draw 10 squares on the white paper with a pencil. I use a ruler to make sure they are all the same size. I made each square 6.5 x 7.5 centimeters and then cut them out. with scissors.

Slide10.JPG

Next, I begin to draw each vowel in uppercase and lowercase, along with a picture so the child can associate each letter. For example, the letter Ee with an elephant, the letter Aa with a tree, the letter Ii with a church, the letter Oo with a bear, and the letter Uu with a bunch of grapes.

Slide11.JPG

Slide12.JPG

Third, I color the letters and drawings with different crayons and markers.

Slide13.JPG

Slide14.JPG

Slide15.JPG

Using the cardboard, we move on to the fourth step, which is to draw 10 larger squares with a pencil, measuring them with a ruler to ensure they are all the same size. These squares measure 8.5 x 8 centimeters. Then, cut them out with scissors.

Slide16.JPG

Slide17.JPG

Finally, we reach the fifth step, which is to finish by taking the glue and attaching the paper squares with the letters and drawings one by one to the cardboard squares. And so our work for playing Blue Memory is finished.

I hope you liked my game 😊
