Kawasan Falls

It seemed like just yesterday my girls were little. Time flies when you are having fun. Life is fun. This photo was taken about 4 years ago. My youngest daughter alypanda@alypanda was petrified from the rushing waters up above the first water fall in Kawasan Falls. It was a blast of a day. My late uncle took us there... God bless his soul. He didn't like swimming so he was not in the photo. My mum on the left loved every minute of it. She never went under the falls until that day. She didn't know why she didn't before that day. The rest of us, my wife and older daughter madisonelizabeth@madisonelizabeth all had fun with the rushing, refreshing water. Like little hands massaging my body. Cascading down with its cold fresh embrace.

I will not tell you to go, since this place is a mecca for travelers to visit all the time. But I will say if you do go. Take it all in. Take your time. Savour the feeling of the place. I think right now in this very moment the place is not packed because of Covid19. It is still there and won't go away. In fact I think there is one good thing the pandemic has brought with it. The reset button was pressed to allow for nature to at least take a breather. Any amount of rest is good for the soul. Both for us and the environment we so easily take for granted.

It's oft times stated sayings of caring for the environment and all. I never get tired of it. And you shouldn't either.

A friends carenderia

My friend took me here. It's their brothers carenderia. In Toledo Cebu. Their specialty is goat and an assortment of food to lick you taste buds. I think I ate too much that day. This was taken last year. Its random in that I have no order to my pics in this post but I am stuck at home right now wanting to reminisce about where I have been while being stuck at home. On a side note my boss just called me , I ignored their call. I am off today. I have linked the location on google maps if you click on the image. Oh google has not updated their street view so you will see an over grown lot if you slick there.

A view to remember

I took this from my mums house. It was mid April which means the winds are good for flying kites. The kids flew these for days. They would leave them flying even when they went to bed. I know because I grew up in this area doing the same thing. I have fond memories growing up there before we migrated out of Philippines some 30 plus years ago. I can basically say I only lived briefly in the Philippines but you can never really leave where and who you are in the end.

There is always something unexpected

Can you guess why I posted this picture.
