Have you ever been here? This post is very relevant to the #haveyoubeenhere as I have never been here before until today. Well actually yesterday, since this post is the day after the walkabout.
Note: it is not advisable to fly any drones in this area as it is considered a federal offence to do so. International flight path so very frowned upon to do so.
But you still get good views.
It freaked out my girls that the cliffs had a lot of overhangs. These are sand stone cliffs so you can be sure the heart is racing every time we went close to the edge. There is no guarantee you will stay up there if you are over an overhang. The colours of the sand stone gives really good patterns.
Millions of years. Contained within easy reach. It kinda brings home how I have only been here a very short time. The lines are undulating and almost resembles lava cooling down. It could be that. I don't know. They do look good to look at though.
Where do we go?
On my daughters insistence I had to take a picture of the sign. She wants to make sure we don't get lost. I think it would be very hard to get lost here since there is only one path we are planning on taking. The coastal path.

Not sure what this area was but it looks like its an outflow so best not to swim here. Then again the waves are not something you would want to get into to begin with. I think surfers come here sometimes. One of the locals was telling me, some random dude who told me about the no flying rule around the area.
Nature always bounces back if allowed.
While the stumps have been burnt off to a crisp. New life is evident on the bottom of the blackened stumps. I took this photo because I really like the stark contrast of the dead to the new. The green to the black. Australia is a harsh beautiful country.

The walk took us close to 4 hours. We took our time to see the views. They can views to die for. If you're not careful they can kill you.
We found this spot at the end of our walkabout. It was hard to find because it is literally under the cliffs. I was just lucky to spot someone taking photos near it. She was very giddy that we found it. This was the reason we basically went for a walk here.
