This afternoon I met a friend at a coffee shop. He told me that he had just gone for a mushroom walk in the southern woods this morning. Unfortunately, he didn't get anything there except being incredibly tired and exhausted. Yeah, he went on a mushroom walk at the wrong time. It's not the season for abundant mushrooms yet, even though it rains occasionally after dusk.
About a week ago, I did the same thing. I was a little luckier than my friend. It was an exciting mushroom walk because I got some beautiful ones, even though they were only one type.
The orange-capped mushrooms were found under a coconut tree, tucked away among the breadfruit leaf litter. I don't know exactly; maybe it was a species belonging to Marasmius, and it seemed like it was still a young mushroom. Those striking gills were beautiful to look at.
