Neurothemis fluctuans, commonly known as The Red Grasshawk, are a species of dragonfly belonging to the family Libellulidae. Male dragonflies tend to be chromatic red with transparent wing edges. While the female dragonfly is light brown with a golden yellow back and tail. N. fluctuans are rarely found in densely populated areas, you will only see them in the forest.

These photos were taken by me in the Jeulikat forest area, Lhokseumawe, Sumatra.
